To Grieve or Not to Grieve?

In response to concerns regarding "grieving the Holy Spirit", I think we grieve (distress) the Holy Spirit by trying to force standards of performance on ourselves or anyone else. You see, I believe Jesus Christ is the Standard, not the Law, not Confessing sins over- and- over or any other ritualistic performance/work on our part. Jesus Christ has already met every requirement/standard, to keep me in constant relationship/fellowship with Himself. That is why He is, constantly renewing our minds towards His much Higher Ways, which is the Much More of Jesus Christ . The battleground is the mind! We need a "New Mind" orientation toward the things of the Spirit, and being dead to sin and Alive to Jesus Christ!! We need the Mind Of Christ!!!! When we do things that seem contrary to who we are,(our reality), we need God to orient us toward who He says that we are, In Him, (His Reality). I choose His Reality, hopefully in ever-increasing Revelation.

  2. Hi Tripp,

    Great Blog, keep on going.
I have always enjoyed your heart musings on the shack, always full of Him!
Also, your pictures are fantastic, are they from your area?

Re: this entry, it may be just different terminology, but I see it as being our soul that now needs saving, ie, coming to 'know' that it (our soul) is not the source of life or power in us, but HIM, and it must become a helpmeet to our spirit-union in Him.
What I have come to see since being drawn into Him as my LIFE, is the knowledge of satan dwelling in all flesh, saved and unsaved flesh. Something he does not want any to know about.
Simply because we have been liberated from being in the flesh, our past source of identity, does not negate the fact that satan has a constant and continuous effect upon our soul.
As spirit speaks to spirit, I believe flesh also speaks to flesh, therefore the needed transformation of our soul.

    Blessings to you in Him,
    Richard

  3. Hello Richard,

Thank you for your kind remarks!

The pictures, that I pull off the web, are from "webshots." I find that all of creation communicates the messages of God!!!

"....God's glory is on tour in the skies, God-craft on exhibit across the horizon. Madame Day holds classes every morning, Professor Night lectures each evening."(Psa.19:1-2) msg

I appreciate your input. Please come back often.

    grace to you, tripp
